Children’s bedrooms are a magical place! They grow and develop so much in these spaces! So when designing a nursery it’s important to think about that. After years of pink for girls and blue for boys (not my thing) it’s nice to see an increase of other colours being introduced into children’s rooms. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying we need to get rid of pink and blue but for me its nice to see them being used with different colours and tones.

A popular trend right now is panelling and lots of it! Every other day I see another Instagram post with a panelling makeover and I love it! It’s a really effective way to introduce design into a space and its been shown now how easy it can be achieved using basic DIY skills!

Adding lots of textures can create interest for the little ones, adding subtle pattern and you can also add some fun such as a pom pom trim on the curtains. There are many natural materials such as wool, linen and rattan that you can use which which contain fewer chemicals if any so you can rest easy that you won’t be exposing your baby to them.
