Celebrity Style: How To Create This Gorgeous Interior Design At Home

Liv Tyler has lived in the West Village of Manhattan for the past two decades, investing in a four-story townhouse that required a thorough restoration to create this stunning interior design.

The property’s past drew her in, creating this interior design by focusing on the features, which required a complete restoration to provide character and architectural detail. The restoration includes replacing every door and window, gutting the house to its bare bones and painstakingly putting it back up in keeping with the building’s history.

The interior design foundations focus on attention to detail and architectural characteristics. The grandeur of Victorian and Georgian buildings has always drawn me in, especially the high ceilings and elaborate skirting boards; in my opinion, it’s the details that add character to a home.

The decor has been meticulously planned throughout the house; Liv spent hours poring over World of Interiors publications, looking for ideas from every viewpoint.

The pink velvet upholstery fabrics add texture to the room, which is offset by the neutral walls. Personal quirky items on the walls and shelves, such as posters and ornaments, provide a unique layer of appeal to the area while maintaining a light and airy sense.

Simple velvets and traditional design accents mix in the bedroom to create a cosy atmosphere. The vintage accessories, such as the lamps and cushions, add splashes of colour throughout the room.
