Style Guide: Peach Fuzz Interiors 2024

Peach Fuzz is the Pantone colour of the year for 2024. With the warmer weather finally coming to join us again, bringing in some of these freshers colours such as peach can really brighten up our interiors. Peach is a warm and inviting colour that can add a soft and comforting touch to interior spaces, whether its a full room design or just adding some touches to your home, I have created some schemes to show you have to incorporate peach into your home.

Here are some ideas for incorporating peach fuzz into your interiors:

Firstly, you can use peach as a wall colour for a subtle and soothing backdrop, lighter shades of peach can make a room feel airy and bright, while deeper tones can create a more cosy and intimate atmosphere. If you want to give some interest on your walls, try painting over some panelling or mouldings.

Peach pairs well with various colours, including mint green, navy blue, soft pink, or gold but its important to experiment with different colour combinations to find a palette that suits your taste and style.

To keep your home feeling modern, you can add in contrasting tones such as deep grey and black, whilst also incorporating geometric patterns to give it some interest.

Peach can be complemented with natural elements like wooden furniture, plants, or stone accents, this creates a balanced and harmonious look. Going for a darker tone of wood allows the furniture to stand out against the peach wall, but isn't as harsh as painted black furniture.

Its important to consider the impact of lighting on the peach tones in your space, the difference between natural light which enhances the warmth of peach and artificial lighting which can vary depending on bulb colours, can create different atmospheres. If you need to use a lots of artificial light, try to use a warmer bulb colour to make sure you don't make the space look cold.

If you don't want to paint any walls then another way to introduce peach is with furniture pieces, such as sofas, chairs, or accent tables. You can mix peach with neutral tones like white, beige, or grey to balance the look. This can be great if you have a neutral colour scheme, but want to add some fresher tones for the spring/summer months.

You can also try adding peach fuzz interior accents through cushions, throws, rugs, and curtains meaning these smaller touches can easily be swapped out if you want to change the colour scheme in the future.

Incorporate peach into your décor through artwork, vases, candles, or other decorative items. This allows you to experiment with the colour without committing to larger elements.

Remember, personal preference plays a crucial role in interior design, so feel free to adapt these suggestions to your own taste and style.

I always take colours of the year as a way to look at colours from a different perspective, such as pairing with other colours, but its important that its a colour you genuinely love and want to bring into your home.
